High Borrans 2019

One of the main purposes of our residential trips, is to strengthen pupils' experience of the outside world, as well as their social and emotional development, alongside building upon our school's core values of developing:  Life Skills, Resilience, Perseverance, Risk, Curiosity, Self Awareness, Self Esteem and Self Belief.

The experience provides many opportunities to learn new knowledge and skills within a creative and adventurous framework.  In Summer 2019, a group of Year 5 and 6 children attended an adventurous outdoor educational at High Borrans in the Lake District.  Children participated in many activities, including:  a high ropes course, canoeing on the lake, orienteering, caving, fell walking, ghyll scrambling, climbing and abseiling, as well as problem-solving and team-building activities.
